Travelling to Broken Hill
Broken Hill is 5 hours drive from Adelaide.
Broken Hill can be accessed via Rex Airlines in 1 hour from Adelaide or in 1hr 50mins from Sydney.
Virgin Blue flies to Mildura. From Mildura, Broken Hill is a 3.5 hour drive, however the flight into Mildura arrives at about 6pm. It is a good idea to stay overnight in Mildura before proceeding to Broken Hill, to avoid animal hazards on the road at dusk.
From other parts of Australia, Broken Hill can be accessed via Sydney, Adelaide and Mildura.
Bus travel from Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne, and train connections from Sydney via the Indian Pacific are also available.
