Broken Hill's Industrial Labour Heritage is nationally, indeed globally, significant. In this paper, we consider the heritage and history of key heritage sites of Broken Hill - the Silver City - in arguing for the increased significance of Australian labour heritage and explore possible pathways of contextualizing, interpreting and promoting labour heritage tourism in the city.
