This paper draws on my experience as a local Government Heritage Advisor to illustrate where good communication and education has helped lead to good heritage outcomes and a positive change in people’s perceptions of heritage and conservation. The paper provides some simple methodologies that I apply to my work in an effort to improve heritage outcomes and put a positive spin on heritage.
